first outing

First day out to Alberta. The bus ride from downtown Portland on the number eight bus provided some unneeded excitement. One of the passengers decided to use the back of the bus for a toilet. Needless to say the bus was quickly exchanged for another. Once the group met up, we all went our separate ways to explore. I loved the bright colors of the different buildings against the grey cloudy skies. Lots of the business were closed as it was a Monday, but met a great place-- Waagmeester Canvas products. They have been at 1212 NE Alberta for about 15 years and have seen a lot change around their business. Steve is pretty interesting and they actually product the canvas products there in the warehouse. More on that later. i still feel like more of a walk about is needed....
